ST. ANSGAR — A former St. Ansgar resident has been sentenced to prison time for sexual abuse.

60-year-old Douglas Young of Lyle Minnesota was charged back in July with one count of third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of lascivious acts with a child. Young was accused in the incidents involving teenage victims known to Young between July 2009 and May 2019.

As part of a plea agreement, Young pleaded guilty to two counts of lascivious acts with a child. District Judge DeDra Schoeder on Tuesday sentenced Young to a total of 15 years in prison.
