Mason City council meets tonight, arena items on agenda

MASON CITY — The City Council in Mason City tonight will deal with a pair of items relating to the multi-purpose arena being constructed on the west end of Southbridge Mall as part of the River City Renaissance project.

 

== The council is being asked to approve the contract and bonds on the ice plant and floor portion of the second bid package as part of the project. Rink-Tec International of Little Canada Minnesota was the lowest of five bidders at just over $1.03 million.

 

== The council will also approve the issuance of Bid Package #3, which contains work on the interior fit-up, mechanical, electrical, exterior improvements and elevators. Bids are due on April 4th, with the council holding a public hearing and vote on the bid package at their April 16th meeting.

 

The council meets tonight at 7 o’clock in the Mason City Room of the Public Library.
