Mitchell County Ag Breakfast Scheduled March 26, 2020

To celebrate the importance of Agriculture in Mitchell County, March 26, 2020, has been set for the Mitchell County Ag Breakfast.  This event is open to the public and individuals are encouraged to attend. 

The doors open at 6:15 a.m. with breakfast catered by BecMar Diner.  At 7 a.m. guest speaker, Dr. Wendong Zhang, assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University since August 2015 will take the stage. Dr Zhang’s topic of discussion is Seven Things to Know About China to Understand the Trade War. Dr. Zhang’s research seeks to better understand the U.S. farmland market, agricultural nutrient runoff, conservation practice adoption, and Chinese agriculture. Dr. Zhang is also affiliated with Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD).  The program will wrap up by 8 a.m.
